SJPNL Begins Road Restoration Under Shimla’s 24×7 Water Supply Project
Shimla, Oct 26: Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited (SJPNL) has commenced the restoration of roads excavated for pipeline laying under the city’s 24×7 continuous pressurised water supply project.
The initiative aims to repair affected road stretches and improve driving conditions for commuters and local residents. Metalling work on Baluganj Market Road has been completed, while the adjoining Advance Study Road has been prepared for metalling with Wet Mix Macadam (WMM).
In the coming days, metalling work is scheduled to be undertaken on Khalini Market Road, Shanti Vihar Road and the stretch from Sanjauli to IGMC.
The restoration work is being carried out in phases by SUEZ teams under the project. SJPNL aims to restore the identified road stretches to ensure smoother and safer traffic movement as the project progresses.
