SILB welcomes new students with vibrant Freshers’ 2026 celebration
UG and PG students showcase talent, confidence, and creativity at the welcome event.

The Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB), Solan, hosted UG and PG Freshers’ 2026 at Veronica Resort, welcoming newly admitted students with a celebration featuring cultural activities, performances, and entertainment.
The event provided the freshers an opportunity to interact with their peers, showcase their talents, and participate in activities designed to encourage confidence, creativity, and camaraderie. The celebration was inaugurated by SILB President Mrs Saroj Khosla and Director Dr Shalini Sharma.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs Saroj Khosla, President, SILB, extended her best wishes to the new students and encouraged them to approach their academic journey with enthusiasm, discipline and a spirit of learning. She urged them to build meaningful relationships, explore new opportunities and participate actively in the institution’s academic and co-curricular life.
The programme featured a range of cultural and entertainment activities, with students displaying their communication skills, creativity and stage confidence. Enthusiastic participation by the freshers added to the celebratory atmosphere.
The UG Freshers’ titles were awarded to Ishita (BBA), Miss Fresher; Uday (BBA), Mr Fresher; Shubhangini (Microbiology), Miss Charming; Arnav (Biotechnology), Mr Charming; Suhana (BCA), Miss Personality; and Aditya Dull (Biotechnology), Mr Personality.
Among the PG students, Sakshi (Botany) was judged Miss Fresher, while Sheetal (Microbiology) received the title of Mr Fresher. Nitish (Microbiology) was named Mr Personality, and Ishita (Biotechnology) was awarded Miss Personality.
The titles recognised students for their confidence, personality, presentation, and participation during the celebrations.
Director, SILB Dr Shalini Sharma welcomed the new students and wished them success in their academic journey. They encouraged the students to actively participate in academic as well as co-curricular activities and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
