SILB celebrates its glorious 20th Foundation Day

The Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB) celebrated its 20th foundation day on Thursday with great enthusiasm and pride.
Dr.(Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Health and Family Welfare Minister of Himachal Pradesh, who was the chief guest, said in a message said that he was “well aware of the rapid progress that SILB has made in providing high-quality education in science and management to students in Himachal Pradesh. I am also aware that the institute has consistently produced a large number of gold medallists every year”.
Dr. Shandil, who could not physically attend the event dork to an overlapping cabinet meeting, said in his message that he was confident that SILB will continue to make significant strides towards excellence in education”.
Prof. PK Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University, Mrs. Saroj Khosla, Mr. Satish Anand, Mr. Ashok Anand, and Mr. Vishal Anand, besides Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla were among those who attended the celebrations.
The anniversary event started with a Havan ceremony conducted by the foundation members, followed by cultural programmes, including the main attraction, the “Musical Eve.” The institute also organised a two-day House Plant Festival, which was open to everyone. The festival showcased a rare collection of over 500 indoor plants, including exotic plants, palms, succulents, bonsai, terrariums, and grooming aroma plants, which can be grown in pots anywhere inside the house.
The festival also featured carved and driftwood, wood painting, stone paint, and bamboo artwork, and food stalls for the convenience of visitors.
President SILB, Mrs. Saroj Khosla, congratulated all the students for their exceptional academic achievements, and especially Vibha Verma of MSc Microbiology and Arti Soni of MSc Biotechnology, who bagged gold medals in HPU recently.
Dr. Shalini Sharma, Director of the Institute, presented a vote of thanks and congratulated all the organising committees and student volunteers for the successful conduct of the event.
SILb is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University and offers courses in MSc Botany, MSc Chemistry, MSc Microbiology, MSc Biotechnology, BSc Microbiology, BSc Biotechnology, and BBA. Two new courses, BCA and BSc (Non-Medical and Medical), are set to be introduced from the next academic session.

SILB has a proud history of producing academic toppers, with students having won 20 gold medals and over 200 merit positions in various disciplines. The institute’s students are placed in top companies and are serving in India and abroad.
