Shoolini and C-DAC organise National Quantum Training programme

A total of 188 participants from India and four other countries attended the seven-day National Quantum Training Programme (NQTP) 2026, organised online by Shoolini University’s Student Research Council (SRC) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Bangalore. Of these, 116 completed the training and 89 earned Certificates of Merit.
Participants represented 68 organisations across six Indian states, as well as the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE and Singapore. C-DAC Bangalore and the SRC jointly awarded the Certificates of Merit to participants who met the assessment criteria.
The programme featured expert sessions on quantum computing, quantum machine learning, quantum cryptography, quantum error correction, quantum algorithms and quantum photonics. Participants also completed hands-on exercises using Qniverse, India’s indigenous quantum computing platform developed by C-DAC Bangalore.
Prof. Atul Khosla, Vice-Chancellor, Shoolini University, said the programme reflected the university’s efforts to develop expertise in quantum technology and contribute to India’s National Quantum Mission through collaboration between academic and government institutions.
Prof. Ashish Khosla, President and Director Innovation, Shoolini University, said the convergence of artificial intelligence, semiconductors and quantum computing was creating new possibilities for research and practical applications. He said the collaboration with C-DAC would help Shoolini University contribute to India’s developing quantum technology ecosystem.
Mr. Henry Sukumar, Scientist F and Associate Director, C-DAC Bangalore, commended the Student Research Council for organising the programme and described it as an example of large-scale institutional collaboration. He said the partnership would be expanded through the National Quantum Informatics Programme later this year.
The Student Research Council conceptualised and conducted the programme under the leadership of its Managing Director, Dr. Pankaj Vaidya, and Founder, Mr. Anitya Gupta.
Shoolini University, C-DAC Bangalore, DigiTod and qBraid also announced plans to launch the National Quantum Informatics Programme in December 2026. Discussions are underway to establish a Centre of Excellence in Quantum Computing at Shoolini University, which would support research, innovation and advanced training in quantum technologies in North India.
