Shimla Forms 9-Member Rapid Response Team for Disaster Management

Shimla, July 11, 2024— Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced the formation of a 9-member Rapid Response Team (QRT) comprising Home Guards to handle potential monsoon-related disasters in Shimla. In a special meeting, he emphasized the team’s readiness and swift response capability to act as a lifeline during emergencies.

The team has been fully trained and equipped with advanced tools to expedite relief efforts. Kashyap instructed team members to remain vigilant and maintain effective communication. He assured that the district administration is well-prepared for any disaster, with precautionary measures in place at vulnerable locations.

Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana and the QRT members attended the meeting.
