Shimla, July 10: Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has instructed all Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) to conduct monthly field inspections of houses being constructed under the Chief Minister Sukhashray Yojana and submit on-site progress reports every three months until completion.
Reviewing the scheme through a video conference, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized timely completion of all approved houses and directed field officials to ensure beneficiaries face no difficulties during construction.
Under the scheme, orphaned and destitute children recognised as “Children of the State” receive financial assistance of ₹3 lakh for house construction, along with up to three bighas of land where required. In Shimla district, 29 houses have been sanctioned, of which five have been completed while 24 are under various stages of construction.
The Deputy Commissioner also spoke directly with beneficiaries to review construction progress and verify the timely disbursal of financial and monthly assistance.
