Shimla Administration Plans Cycling Lanes and Trails for Promoting Health and Eco-Tourism

Under the leadership of Shimla’s Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Himachal Pradesh Cycling Association on 26th September 2024. Discussions were focused on the construction of cycling lanes and trails in Shimla and nearby areas. Initial plans include building cycling lanes on routes like CTO Chowk to Summer Hill and Shimla Club to Chhota Shimla. The initiative also explores cycling trails in forested areas such as Glen, Potter Hill, and Jakhoo, aiming to promote adventure tourism and encourage cycling in schools and colleges.
