Shaheed Diwas to Be Observed at Shimla’s Historic Ridge Maidan

Shimla, January 23 –
Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, chaired a meeting today to review preparations for the Shaheed Diwas event to be held on January 30, 2025. The ceremony will take place at the historic Ridge Maidan near Mahatma Gandhi’s statue, starting at 10:30 AM.

Distinguished guests will pay floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by two minutes of silence at 11 AM in honor of the martyrs. Artists from the Department of Information and Public Relations will perform Ramdhun and devotional songs during the event.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized maintaining the sanctity of the occasion and directed officials to ensure timely arrangements. He also urged the participation of various departments to make the event a grand success.

The meeting was attended by SDM (Urban) Bhanu Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Gopal Chand Sharma, Deputy Director of Education Department Lekh Raj Bhardwaj, and other officials.
