RSETI Trains Women in Paper Cover and Envelope Making for Self-Employment

Hamirpur, May 22: A 12-day skill development training programme for women concluded at the Punjab National Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in Mattan Siddh, Hamirpur on Friday.

Around 25 women participated in the training camp, where they learned to make paper covers, files, envelopes and other related products aimed at promoting self-employment opportunities.

Addressing the participants during the valedictory function, RSETI Director Ajay Kumar Katna encouraged women to start their own small businesses after completing the training. He said the institute would also assist aspiring women entrepreneurs in obtaining loans from various banks for setting up their ventures.

He urged the participants to take advantage of different loan and subsidy schemes being offered by government departments and financial institutions to promote entrepreneurship and financial independence among women.

Evaluation officers Sansar Chand and Harbans Lal, Financial Literacy Counsellor G.C. Bhatti, RSETI faculty member Sanjay Harnot and other officials were also present on the occasion.
