Rs. 326 cr released under Jal Jeevan Mission

Shimla, Nov 27 – Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has thanked the Union Government for releasing total amount of Rs. 326 crore to the State under Jal Jeevan Mission.

Jai Ram Thakur said that Himachal Pradesh was the only State in the country to have been released all the four instalments of Rs. 81.5 crore each by the Central Government. He said that this would facilitate the State Government to achieve the target of providing piped drinking water to every household of the State at the earliest.

Chief Minister said that all this was possible due to the continuous efforts made by Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur and other senior officers of the department for empathetically taking up the case before the Central Government.
