Solan, January 11: Rotary Royal Solan has inaugurated a Mobility Aid Bank to provide essential medical equipment and mobility aids free of cost (on a loan basis) to patients in need. The initiative ensures that residents of Solan requiring medical equipment during or post-treatment do not have to bear the burden of purchasing expensive items. The Rotary Medical Equipment Bank was formally launched by Rotary District 3080 Governor Rajpal Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kamal Atwal, President of Rotary Royal Solan, stated, “We hope this initiative will assist those in need and bring about positive change in society.” Governor Rajpal Singh emphasized that the project aims to support individuals who require mobility aids temporarily or permanently but cannot afford them, aligning with Rotary’s mission of serving the underserved.

Project Chairman Rotarian Arun Trehan expressed gratitude to the Rotary team, donors, and volunteers for making the project possible.

The Mobility Aid Bank offers oxygen machines, hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs, air beds, oxygen cylinders, bedpans, nebulizers, commodes, glucometers, pulse oximeters, walking sticks, blood pressure monitors, bed stands, stretchers, railing sets, commode chairs, and more. All these items are available free of charge, with an agreement for their return after use.
