RKMV Students Excel at Spiti-Sumdo Marathon

Shimla, August 31, 2026: Three students of Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla, delivered impressive performances at the Spiti-Sumdo Marathon, bringing laurels to the institution.

Suman secured first position in the 21-km race in the 16–30 age category, completing the race in 1 hour 50 minutes and winning a cash prize of ₹15,000.

Vipasha Verma bagged first position in the 10-km Defence Category with a timing of 46 minutes and received a cash prize of ₹50,000.

Tenzin secured third position in the 10-km Open Category, finishing the race in 50 minutes and winning ₹35,000.

The college appreciated the students for their dedication, discipline, perseverance and sporting spirit. Their performances have brought recognition to RKMV and serve as an inspiration to fellow students.

College Principal Dr. Anurita Saxena congratulated Suman, Vipasha Verma and Tenzin on their achievements and wished them continued success in their future sporting and academic pursuits.
