Rhythm, Culture, and Colours Grace AHS Junior Annual Day

Shimla, September 19, 2025: Auckland House School, Girls, Shimla celebrated its Junior Section Annual Day with vibrant cultural performances and wholehearted participation from the students. The Chief Guest, Ms. Oshin Sharma, HPAS, SDM Shimla Urban, commended the confidence, creativity, and discipline exhibited by the young learners.

The programme commenced with an Opening Hymn “Here I Am to Worship” by Form I students, followed by a delightful Musical Play “The Toy Shop” by Form II, which enthralled the audience with its imaginative storytelling.

Students from Nursery, LKG, UKG, and Forms I & II showcased a spectrum of performances, ranging from folk to contemporary. Numbers like “Aya Wo Lalariya,” “I’m So Happy,” “Believer,” “Punjabi Dance,” “Chun Chun Karti Aayi Chidiya,” “My Bestie,” and “Gujarati Dance” reflected both cultural richness and youthful exuberance. The action songs “Kookaburra” and thematic presentations such as “Golden Melodies” and “Rajasthani Dance” added colour and diversity, leaving the audience mesmerised.

On this occasion, the Annual Report was presented by the School Principal, Smaraki Samantaroy, outlining the Junior Section’s academic and co-curricular achievements.

The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, evoking a sense of pride and unity. Parents, teachers, and guests praised the efforts of students and staff for curating a memorable and meaningful cultural showcase.
