Restored HP Board Senior Secondary School in Hamirpur to Focus on Quality Education and Career Guidance
Hamirpur, August 27: The Principal and staff of the Co-educational Senior Secondary School Hamirpur, functioning under the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education at the former Girls School premises, expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and his Political Advisor Sunil Sharma Bittu for the restoration of the institution.
Principal Poonam Chauhan and members of the school staff met Sunil Sharma Bittu on Thursday and thanked him for facilitating the restoration of the school. Bittu congratulated the staff and called upon them to work towards strengthening the quality of education and meeting the expectations of the state government.
Principal Poonam Chauhan said the restoration of the school has expanded educational choices for children in Hamirpur, giving them the opportunity to pursue senior secondary education under the HP Board alongside the existing CBSE option.
She said the school would place special emphasis on academic excellence, students’ overall development and a supportive learning environment. The teaching and non-teaching staff would work with dedication to translate the Chief Minister’s vision for education into action.
The Principal further said that the school would also provide structured support for competitive examination preparation and career guidance so that students could make informed choices about their future.
The restoration of the institution is expected to strengthen the availability of HP Board education in Hamirpur and provide students with greater flexibility in choosing an educational pathway suited to their needs and aspirations.
