Relief Material Distributed to Disaster-Affected Families in Shahpur

Dharamshala | July 30, 2026: Chairperson of the District Red Cross Society, Kangra, Jyoti Bairwa, visited the disaster-affected villages of Ghadgoon, Sapeira and Bhangar in Shahpur subdivision on Thursday and met 28 affected families. She enquired about their well-being and assured them of all possible assistance during this difficult time.

On the occasion, the District Red Cross Society distributed essential relief material to the affected families. The relief kits included toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, handwash, sanitary napkins, towels, drinking water, electrolyte packets, juice, biscuits, snacks, umbrellas, raincoats, fruits, school bags, clothing and other daily-use essentials.

Jyoti Bairwa said it is the moral responsibility of everyone to stand with families affected by natural disasters. She affirmed that the District Red Cross Society is committed to providing all possible humanitarian assistance. She added that the district administration and the Red Cross Society are working in close coordination to ensure timely delivery of relief material and extend every possible support to the affected families.
