Pro HPCL Season 2 Kicks Off with a Spectacular Opening Ceremony at Woodville Palace

The much-awaited second season of Pro HPCL, Himachal’s biggest ever cricket league, officially commenced with a grand opening ceremony at the prestigious Woodville Palace Hotel. The event was graced by numerous cricket enthusiasts, franchise owners, and players from all over the state.

The Pro HPCL, an IPL inspired cricket league, comprises 16 franchisee-based teams with more than 250 players is the Himachal’s biggest ever cricket league that is awarding 7 lakh rupees as the first prize. This is for the first time that a white leather ball based tournament is being organized and the founders of the league have chosen Chandigarh as the venue for the matches for best experience. The auctions, held on 2 April, witnessed an overwhelming response with 724 registered players, out of which 250 were sold to the highest bidders.

The opening ceremony was marked by the spectacular performance of the Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra – Harmony of the Pines, who enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing music. The teams, including Mandi Marvels, Shimla Titans, Aspire XI, Karsog XI, Black Boys Rampur, Jindal Warriors, Royal Rivals Sarkaghat, Rising Star Baldeyan, Truck Union Matiyana, RMC Kotkhai, Gladiators, Mahakal, Yorkshire Mandyal, Shimla Blasters, Rohru Knight Hawks and ACC Theog, were introduced and welcomed to the league.

The founders of Pro HPCL expressed their gratitude towards the sponsors and wished all the players the best for the league. The matches are scheduled to start from 22 April at Endeavour Cricket Hub Mohali and will be telecasted live on Facebook and YouTube.

With the success of the first season, the second season of Pro HPCL promises to be even more exciting and competitive, with some of the best cricketing talent from Himachal Pradesh showcasing their skills on the field. Cricket lovers across the state can look forward to some thrilling matches and intense rivalries over the next few weeks.
