Pension Delays and Water Price Hike Criticized by Jai Ram Thakur

Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Jai Ram Thakur, condemned the Himachal Pradesh government’s treatment of pensioners, calling it “discriminatory and shameful.” He criticized the government’s decision to delay pensions from the 5th to the 10th of each month and demanded that pensions be released on time, emphasizing that pensioners should not have to protest for their rightful entitlements.

Jai Ram Thakur also slammed the government’s decision to increase water prices by 10%, calling it an added burden on the people amidst rising inflation.
