2 min read

Agriculture Minister Chandrakumar has stated that opposition leader Jairam Thakur and other BJP leaders are celebrating the house fire incident. Jairam Thakur is welcoming rebels while his entry has caused discontent among BJP leaders. He mentioned that Jairam Thakur is turning a blind eye to the fire in his house due to his lust for the chief minister’s chair. In the history of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur will be remembered as someone who lusted for power, as he conspired to bring down a duly elected government in his greed. BJP leaders themselves attempted to destabilize the state government using money and muscle power, which ultimately failed. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh, the state government is working dedicatedly for public welfare. The people of the state will definitely respond to the greed of BJP leaders. The people of the state do not accept opportunistic and money-powered politics at any cost.

Chandrakumar said that the complete conspiracy of BJP to give tickets to rebels is now evident to the public. People have now realized why BJP leaders housed rebels in expensive five-star hotels, provided them with chartered planes and helicopter rides, and spent millions on them for a month. Today, rebels are standing with the BJP, which is opposed by the youth, women, and anti-Himachal forces.

He mentioned that the current state government has reinstated the old pension for employees within just one and a half years of its term. Schemes have been formulated and implemented for women, orphans, and every section of society. In the last 30 years, the price of milk in Himachal Pradesh increased by only 18 rupees, while the current state government increased the minimum support price for cow’s milk by 13 rupees, setting it at 45 rupees, and increased the purchase price of buffalo milk to 55 rupees per liter. In addition, there has been an increase of Rs. 60 in the wages of MGNREGA labor and the minimum support price for wheat grown through natural farming has been set at Rs. 40, and for maize, the rate is Rs. 30. He said that the state government has made several efforts to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant during its short tenure so far. While the previous BJP government misused the state treasury for their comfort, plunging Himachal Pradesh into debt. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhoo is making sincere efforts to put the economy of Himachal Pradesh on track, and it is through his honest efforts that there has been an increase of Rs. 2200 crores in the state treasury.
