Only pre primary teachers who have done nursery teacher training from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institutions will be included in the recruitment. Education Minister Rohit Thakur, who returned from New Delhi, while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Thursday, said that instructions have been given to the education department to weed out the institutions which have got NTT approved. After getting these details it will be discussed again with the ministry.
The minister said that those who have done one year nursery teacher training will be given a six-month bridge course. The central government has given in-principle approval in this regard. There are instructions from NCTE that only those who have completed two years of training can be included in the recruitment. This rule was prepared by NCTE in the year 2014. Before this, thousands of people from Himachal have done one year nursery teacher training by going to outside states. In such a situation, this matter was taken up after meeting Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi.
There has been a demand from the Center that those who have been trained before the year 2014 should be given priority in recruitment. After this, those people should be allowed to do a bridge course of six months. He said that every year crores of rupees received from the Central Government for the honorarium of pre-primary teachers are getting lapsed.
To prevent this from happening in the future, the government is seriously trying to start this recruitment. Brainstorming is also being done on when and how the bridge course will be held. Said that the JBT recruitment matter is being discussed. Legal aspects are also being looked into whether or not to include B.Ed degree holders in recruitment. Soon the vacant posts in the schools of the state will be filled under the recruitment and promotion rules. Vocational courses for more than 100 schools will be started after July.
