MTB Chamba Cross-Country Cycling Race to be Held on March 21–22

Chamba, March 7: The MTB Chamba Cross-Country Cycling Race will be organized on March 21–22 under the “Chalo Chamba” campaign, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal informed while chairing a review meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office auditorium on Saturday.

The event is being organized in collaboration with the Chamba Cycling Association, and around 65 km long race route has been planned. The route will pass through Chamba–Bhadram–Gaila–Deolihatti–Sungal–Koha–Chaminu–Sarahan–Penela–Wat–Kumarka–Badidehra–Brijeshwari Temple, before concluding at the Chamba Circuit House.

Repaswal directed officials to ensure proper coordination with the police department for traffic regulation and maintaining law and order during the race. He also assured the deployment of Home Guards and disaster response volunteers to assist during the event.

Officials from various departments, including PWD, health services, and disaster management, discussed arrangements related to safety, rescue operations and other logistical support.

The Chamba Cycling Association informed that well-known cyclists from across the country are expected to participate. Competitions will be held in multiple categories including Sub-Junior, Under-19, Open, Masters, Women Junior and Women Senior.
