Modi’s Heart Beats for India and the Indian Armed Forces: Anurag

Shimla, 13 May 2025* — Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for meeting and encouraging Indian Air Force personnel at the Adampur Airbase in Punjab following the success of *Operation Sindoor*. He said that PM Modi’s deep commitment to the nation and the armed forces is unparalleled and continues to strengthen India’s defence capabilities.

Thakur recounted Modi’s long-standing tradition of celebrating Diwali with soldiers at forward posts, including Siachen (2014), Rajouri (2019), Jaisalmer (2020), and most recently with tri-services in Gujarat’s Kutch region (2024). He added that Modi Ji has consistently demonstrated solidarity with the armed forces, from the Kargil War days in 1999 to overseeing India’s modern military advancement.

Highlighting India’s defence prowess, Thakur noted the Indian Air Force now boasts over 1,700 aircraft, including Rafales, Sukhoi-30s, and Tejas, along with advanced systems like BrahMos, S-400s, and Predator drones. He said PM Modi’s leadership has ensured India is not only self-reliant in defence but also globally ranked ahead of Pakistan in military power.

“Modi Ji’s unwavering support and emotional connect with the armed forces inspire the entire nation,” Thakur concluded.
