Modi Government Dedicated to Empowering Youth for Nation Building: Anurag Thakur

Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, has emphasized the role of youth empowerment in nation-building. Additionally, Shri Anurag Thakur provided information about youth-centric programs being conducted in his parliamentary constituency of Hamirpur.
Explaining the significance of youth, Shri Anurag Thakur stated, “The Modi government is committed to nation-building through the empowerment of youth. Youth signifies the strength, self-reliance, and confidence of the nation. Today’s youth is the generation that will fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India. Youth embodies both the policy, leadership, and destiny of India.”
Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s endeavors, Shri Anurag Thakur remarked, “If you observe Prime Minister Narendra Modi, you’ll understand what youth means. Modi ji has shattered the constraints of age. Whether it’s meditating at the Kedarnath temple at an altitude of 12,000 feet, flying a Tejas fighter jet, deep-sea diving, observing fasts during Navratri without food, or efficiently managing all tasks from domestic to international affairs without fatigue, Modi ji has executed all these tasks so seamlessly that it’s evident that youth resonates with Modi ji’s thoughts and actions.”
Furthermore, Shri Anurag Thakur mentioned the initiatives taken in his parliamentary constituency of Hamirpur, such as the Sports Festival, Bharat Darshan, and Ek Se Shreshth Programs, which have ignited the aspirations of youth.
Regarding the Sports Festival, Shri Anurag Thakur stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, ‘You will play, only then you will shine.’ Therefore, the Sports Festival not only provides a platform for the talents of my Hamirpur parliamentary constituency but also offers them an opportunity to shine at the national and international levels. The aim this time is to involve 75,000 players.”
Shri Anurag Thakur further added, “It is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiration that approximately 300 MPs across the country are organizing the Sports Festival in their respective constituencies. The popularity of the Sports Festival is such that our youth are now moving away from addiction and focusing on building their careers in sports.”
He also mentioned the initiation of the “Nasha Mukt Aur Surakshit” campaign aimed at eradicating substance abuse in Hamirpur and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, under this campaign, helmets are provided to youth, with approximately 10,000 helmets distributed so far.
Speaking about the Bharat Darshan initiative, Shri Anurag Thakur said, “I take the meritorious students of my constituency on tours across India under this scheme so that they can learn about the new technologies being implemented domestically and internationally and shape their careers accordingly.”
Furthermore, he mentioned the success of the “Ek Se Shreshth” program, where over 500 centers are now operational, benefiting more than 10,000 children in the region.
Shri Anurag Thakur concluded by expressing Prime Minister Modi’s unwavering commitment to Himachal Pradesh, transforming it into a second home. He emphasized how Prime Minister Modi’s developmental efforts have facilitated the progress of youth in Himachal Pradesh, ensuring their advancement without obstacles.
