Una, Aug 1: Over 2,076 animals have been treated free of cost under the Mobile Veterinary Service launched in March 2024 in Una district. The three units—operating in Haroli, Bangana, and Una—offer doorstep treatment via a team of vets, assistants, and pharmacists. Farmers can call 1962 for help between 9 AM to 5 PM.
Officials say the initiative, aligned with CM Sukhu’s rural welfare vision, is boosting animal health and supporting the rural economy. Farmers across villages have praised the service for timely aid in treating conditions like fever, infections, and digestive issues.
