Lt Gen Raj Shukla awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal

Shimla, Jan. 26 –  Lt Gen Raj Shukla, YSM, SM, ADC, GOC in C ARTRAC has been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal ( PVSM) on the 72nd Republic Day. In 39 years of an illustrious military career he has tenated challenging command assignments to include command of a Infantry Brigade in Counter-Insurgency Operations, an Infantry Division in the Kashmir Valley, along the Line of Control and a Corps in the Western Sector.
He has held important staff assignments in the Military Operations Directorate and the Directorate General of Perspective Planning at Army Headquarters. He assumed the appointment of GOC-in-C ARTRAC on 01 May 20. The General is deeply involved in restructuring the training pedagogy of the Armed Forces, issues pertaining to tri-services integration, induction of futuristic technologies as also various doctrinal issues.
