Kullu Dussehra to Extend Historic Recognition and Support to Bajantaris: Sunder Singh Thakur

Kullu, October 24: International Kullu Dussehra Festival Committee Chairman and local MLA Sunder Singh Thakur has announced key measures to honour Bajantaris and other groups associated with Dev Sanskriti (deity traditions) during the Kullu Dussehra festival.

Addressing a meeting of the Devbhoomi Bajantari Kalyan Sangh, Thakur said the financial assistance provided to Bajantaris was not merely monetary support but a mark of recognition for their dedication and devotion.

To simplify the process, the tehsildar and administrative team are helping beneficiaries complete forms on the spot. Disbursement of the incentive amount began on Friday, October 24, so beneficiaries can receive the assistance during the festival itself.

Thakur further announced that from next year, the assistance would be made available from the first day of the Dussehra celebrations. Approved financial assistance will also be extended to other associated groups.

Sangh president Mehar Singh welcomed the chief guest. ADM Surjeet Singh Rathore, Tehsildar Anil Kumar, Sangh general secretary Prem Chand Soni and other members were present at the meeting.
