JUIT: Empowers Youth Visionaries with “VIKSIT BHARAT, SASHAKT BHARAT” Declamation Contest

In a proactive move to engage and mobilize the youth towards steering the future of India, Jaypee University Of Information Technology hosted a thought-provoking declamation contest themed “VIKSIT BHARAT, SASHAKT BHARAT.” The event, organized by the Literary and Debating Club of JYC, aimed at cultivating a vision for a transformed India as the nation approaches its centenary year of independence.

The declamation contest took place at CR-3 on the 14th of December 2023 at 10:00 AM, commencing with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by JYC Faculty incharge Dr. Naveen Jaglan, Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Bajaj, and coordinators of the Literary and Debating Club. This gesture symbolized the illumination of ideas and invited students to contribute their perspectives on economic growth, social progress, sustainability, and governance.

The initiative sought to empower participants to actively participate in envisioning and constructing a stronger, more developed India. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with students showcasing their oratory skills and presenting compelling ideas for the nation’s development.

Kislay emerged as the victor in the declamation contest, securing the 1st position. Aditi and Anushree claimed the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively, leaving a lasting impression on the judges with their insightful and impactful presentations on the theme “Viksit Bharat@2047.”

Beyond providing a platform for self-expression, the university encouraged students to play a direct role in the nation-building process. Attendees were urged to share their ideas with the relevant authorities through the MyGov Portal. This involved navigating to the Viksit Bharat Consultation section, answering pertinent questions using dropdown options, and providing a concise 3-5 line idea for Viksit Bharat@2047, highlighting their envisioned role or contribution.

This inclusive approach aligns with the broader national goal of participatory governance, leveraging the potential of the youth in shaping policies for a prosperous India. The university’s commitment to nurturing active citizenship and instilling a sense of responsibility among its students was evident in this initiative, solidifying its role in fostering socially conscious leaders for the future.
