Jakhu Temple to Undergo ₹5.67 Crore Renovation After Govt Nod

Shimla, January 9, 2026:
The Himachal Pradesh government has accorded in-principle approval for the renovation of the historic Jakhu Temple at an estimated cost of ₹5.67 crore. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said the project will be executed through the Municipal Corporation, while the entire expenditure will be borne by the Jakhu Hanuman Temple Trust from its own resources.

The project includes renovation of the yajna shala, shoe house, bhandara hall, temple office, park development, public toilets, construction of six shops, a children’s park and parking facilities. Once completed, the upgraded infrastructure will provide improved amenities to the growing number of devotees visiting the temple.
