Sundernagar, July 4: Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur accused the Sukhu-led state government of failing to deliver development while pushing the state into record debt. He alleged that despite continuous borrowing, development projects have stalled and people are not receiving basic public services. Thakur questioned where the borrowed funds were being spent and claimed the government was shutting institutions and imposing additional charges instead of focusing on governance.
Addressing a BJP organisational training camp under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Maha Prashikshan Abhiyan-2026 in Sundernagar, Thakur also said BJP workers are the party’s greatest strength. He highlighted the party’s ideological foundations, organisational growth, and commitment to nation-building under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, urging workers to remain dedicated to public service and the party’s core values.
