Shimla, February 20, 2026: Leader of Opposition and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur criticised the Congress party over its protest during an AI Summit in Delhi, alleging that such actions damage India’s global image. He stated that at a time when India is gaining international recognition for technological growth and innovation, political opposition on global platforms sends a negative message.

Thakur claimed that the country is progressing rapidly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and accused Congress leaders of spreading negativity and misleading narratives about India’s achievements.
