Jairam Thakur Criticizes Sukhu Government Over Job Cuts

Shimla, January 1, 2025:
Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur slammed the Sukhu government for continuing its spree of job terminations. Thakur alleged that the government is preparing to remove hundreds of employees from IGMC, accusing it of failing to fulfill its promises of creating jobs. He stated that over the past two years, the government has shut down more than 2,000 institutions, abolished 1.5 lakh posts, and terminated 15,000 employees, leaving citizens disillusioned with its policies. Thakur urged the government to prioritize employment generation and public welfare over job cuts.
