International Shimla Summer Festival 2025 to be Held from June 1 to 5

Shimla, March 6, 2025: The International Shimla Summer Festival 2025 will be organized from June 1 to 5 at the historic Ridge Maidan, announced Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap during a meeting at Bachat Bhawan. This year’s festival will focus on the “Drive Against Drugs” theme to spread awareness among youth about the growing drug menace in Himachal Pradesh.
International Cultural Performances & Events
The five-day festival will feature school students’ performances, celebrity concerts, and traditional folk events. This year, efforts are being made to invite international cultural groups, similar to the Kullu Dussehra and Mandi Shivratri festivals. Additionally, performances by artists from different Indian states will be showcased in collaboration with NZCC Patiala.
Restoring Shimla’s Market Glory
The festival aims to restore Shimla’s historic markets, which were once known for unique products. Special initiatives will be taken to revive their original charm and local craftsmanship, making them attractive for tourists and local youth.
New Stage Location on Ridge Maidan
Due to ongoing construction, the main stage will be relocated to a different spot on Ridge Maidan. The Public Works Department (PWD) has been directed to complete the renovation work by April-end to ensure smooth festival preparations.

Commemorative Souvenir & Coffee Table Book

The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Bhupendra Atri, Additional District Magistrate Jyoti Rana, and other officials.
