HRTC Driver’s Suicide Raises Allegations of Harassment by Dharampur RM

Mandi, Jan 14 : Sanjay Kumar, an HRTC bus driver from Dharampur Depot, tragically ended his life, leaving behind a video accusing Regional Manager Vinod Kumar Taru of harassment. The video, recorded by his family during his hospitalization, has gone viral and caused an uproar.

Sanjay, who transferred from Rampur to Dharampur Depot four months ago, alleged that his salary had been withheld for the same duration and that he was repeatedly threatened with suspension. On January 12, after consuming poison, he succumbed to his condition in the hospital.

The video has highlighted the pressure faced by employees in the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, prompting demands for accountability. It remains unclear if the police have initiated any investigation into the matter.
