HPNLU Shimla Hosts 3rd Samanvay International Mediation Competition

Shimla, September 18, 2025: Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, inaugurated the 3rd Edition of the Samanvay International Mediation Competition under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena. The event saw participation from reputed national and international institutions, including the National University of Singapore, along with distinguished assessors from India and abroad.

Chief Guest Shri Anil K. Airi, Senior Advocate, Delhi High Court, highlighted the transformative role of mediation in building trust and dialogue within society. Guest of Honour Mr. Pintu Babu, Nishith Desai Associates, emphasized adopting a solution-oriented approach in mediation. The inaugural session also featured addresses by Dr. Ruchi Gupta, Chairperson ADR Cell, and Dr. Bharat Barowalia, Coordinator ADR Cell, who delivered the vote of thanks.

With strong participation from National Law Universities, leading law schools, and international teams, the competition reaffirms its growing global stature in advancing mediation skills and cross-cultural dialogue.
