HPHC :Final Opportunity to Government to Respond to CPIS

The appointments of CPIS have been challenged through three petitions. Firstly, in 2016, the People for Responsible Governance organization challenged the appointment of CPIS. When the new government was appointed, an application was made to make them respondents. Subsequently, a resident of Mandi, Kalpana Devi, also filed a petition regarding the appointments of CPIS. BJP leader Satpal Satti also challenged CPIS, including Deputy Chief Minister, through a petition. The court is hearing all petitions together. Allegations have been made in all the petitions that similar appointments were made in Punjab, which were challenged before the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The High Court had declared these appointments unconstitutional.
