Shimla Dec 20 : The Kalka-Shimla Holiday Special Train service started on Friday, catering to the Christmas and New Year tourist rush. Train No. **52443** departs Kalka at 8:05 AM and reaches Shimla at 1:40 PM, with stops at Dharampur, Barog, Solan, Kandaghat, Summer Hill, and Kaithlighat. Train No. **52444** returns from Shimla at 4:50 PM, reaching Kalka by 9:45 PM.
The service will operate daily until February 28, 2025. Ticket prices are ₹75 for general, ₹945 for tourist class, and ₹790 for first class. The initiative aims to attract tourists, offering a scenic journey through the mountains, making it a popular choice for holiday travel.
