The Himachal Pradesh High Court has raised serious concerns over the lack of transparency in outsource recruitments by the state government. Acting Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Satyen Vaidya questioned whether a company dealing in phenyl sales could be entrusted with hiring nurses. The court expressed dissatisfaction over the absence of clear parameters and regulations for such processes.

A petition highlighted allegations of financial irregularities, including commissions being imposed on corporations and contractors. The High Court had previously halted all recruitments conducted by the Electronics Corporation on November 7 and directed the uploading of recruitment data on official websites.

The government informed the court that a committee is being considered to ensure transparency in recruitments. The petition further claimed that 110 companies in the state have been found to be fake, and recruitment rules are being flouted. The next hearing is scheduled for December 31.
