Himachal Govt Committed to Providing Quality Education to Children: Sanjay Awasthi

Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi emphasized that the Himachal Pradesh government is dedicated to delivering quality education to all children in the state. Speaking at the foundation day celebration at Government Senior Secondary School Basantpur in Arki assembly constituency, he highlighted the government’s initiatives to improve educational standards.

He noted that English language education has been introduced from class one in all government schools to prepare students for competitive challenges. To support economically weaker students, the state has launched the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Student Loan Scheme, offering loans at 1% interest up to ₹20 lakh for professional and technical courses, including engineering, medical, management, and research degrees.

Awasthi also mentioned the ambitious ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana’ which covers educational expenses of children of widows with an annual income below ₹1 lakh, along with monthly financial assistance to children of widowed, destitute, divorced, and disabled parents.

Apart from education, the MLA assured improved healthcare facilities in Arki, where seven specialist doctors are currently serving, with plans to enhance services further.

He inaugurated a local wrestling event and announced ₹15 lakh for school playground expansion, ₹41 lakh for drinking water projects linking nearby villages, and funds for repairs, library construction, and cultural activities.

Students excelling academically were felicitated, and public grievances were addressed with directions to officials for timely resolution.
