Shimla, 25 July 2024: The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has taken significant decisions in its recent meeting. Key highlights include:

1. Monsoon Session of Vidhan Sabha: Scheduled from 27th August to 9th September 2024, with 10 sittings.
2. Police District and Station Upgrades: Creation of Police District Dehra, new police stations, and additional posts for efficient law enforcement.
3. Market Intervention Scheme: Procurement rates set for apple, kinnow, malta, orange, mango, and galgal to support farmers.
4. School Mergers and Upgrades: Merging primary and middle schools with low enrollment, closing schools with zero enrollment, and implementing compulsory morning assemblies and physical education.
5. New Administrative Divisions: Creation of new SDPO offices, Public Works Department Circle, and Jal Shakti Vibhag Division.
6. Healthcare and Infrastructure: Opening of Block Medical Office at Jaisinghpur, re-organization of development blocks, and creation of posts in various departments.
