Get name registered in voter list – Rigved Thakur

Mandi, 10 November:

While giving information, District Election Officer (Panchayat) and Deputy Commissioner Mandi Rigved Thakur said that the program has been notified to enroll names in the voters’ lists of the gram panchayats of Mandi district which have been divided/reorganized. This program of preparation of voter lists will be released on 1st December, 2020, assuming eligibility date.

He informed that the draft of voter lists has been published and claims and objections can be submitted to the reviewing authority by 19 November. The reviewing authority will settle claims and objections received within this period within seven days. He informed that an appeal can be submitted to the District Election Officer (Panchayat) within seven days of passing the order by the revising authority. The appeal will be disposed of by the District Election Officer (Panchayat) within five days and the final publication of voter lists will be done on December 11.

He said that if a person of the concerned Gram Panchayat wants to get his name registered in the electoral rolls of the Panchayat or has any claim, then he can contact the Review Officer and Block Development Officer of the concerned development block or the Gram Panchayat Secretary. Prescribed forms for claims and objections will be available free of charge at the above offices.
