“Gandhi Helpline” to Aid People During Health Emergency
1 min readShimla, April 24 – HPCC President Kuldeep Singh Rathore today at Rajeev Bhawan while addressing the media briefing said that a covid helpdesk named “Gandhi Helpline” will be launched in the state to help the people during this time of health emergency. The helpline will be operational from Monday i.e April 26, 2021.
Two teams have been constituted at Kangra and Shimla comprising of doctors, medical professionals, and congress party volunteers which will help the people with medical as well as food requirements. The helpdesk at Shimla will look after the Shimla and mandi parliament area whereas the helpdesk at Kangra will cover the Kangra and Hamirpur parliament area. He also instructed all the block presidents to start “Gandhi helpline” desks at their respective blocks.
Rathore also said that due to bad weather conditions and unexpected snowfall in the month of April huge losses have been incurred by farmers across the state. Rathore himself will be visiting affected areas tomorrow to assess the actual damage. He urged the chief minister to direct revenue authorities to assess the economic damage and get a special relief package from the central government so that appropriate relief can be provided to the affected people.
