Gallery Dedicated to Professor Harish Chandra Rai’s Artistic Legacy

Shimla, March 28, 2025 – The Himachal Pradesh State Museum in Shimla has dedicated a special gallery in honor of Professor Harish Chandra Rai for his remarkable contributions to art. The gallery was inaugurated by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, with Rakesh Kanwar, Secretary of Language, Culture, and Education, also present as a guest of honor.
The event was organized by the Department of Language and Culture, under the leadership of Dr. Pankaj Lalit, Director of the Department. Amala Rai, daughter of the late professor, was also present to commemorate her father’s artistic legacy.
This initiative by the state government aims to preserve and promote Himachal’s rich artistic heritage while celebrating the life and work of a distinguished artist.
