Friendship week concludes

Mandi, 21 November:

The friendship week organized by Childline from 14 to 21 November was duly concluded today. Officials of Childline Association concluded the week by tying a friendship band to Deputy Commissioner Rigveda Thakur.

The Deputy Commissioner said that during the week, people were made aware of better behavior and safe environment towards children under child protection rights. He directed the officials of Childline Association to continue such awareness campaigns in future also so that a better environment can be established for children in the society. He said that people and youth should be made more aware about the fact that child marriage is a legal offense.

Child line coordinator Achhar Singh, team members Savita Devi, Shanta Devi, Ludermani and Naveen Kumar were present on the occasion.
