Flights from Amritsar International Airport to Shimla to Commence from November 16

Shimla, November 13: Starting November 16, flights from Punjab’s International Airport in Amritsar to Shimla will be operational. The one-way fare has been set at INR 1919, with the government providing a 50% subsidy on fares under the ‘Udaan Scheme.’ The initiation of flights on this route is expected to allow travelers to reach Shimla from Amritsar in just one hour, benefiting the tourism industry.
These flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The Shimla to Amritsar flight will depart at 8:10 AM, reaching Amritsar at 9:10 AM. The return flight from Amritsar to Shimla will depart at 9:35 AM, arriving in Shimla at 10:35 AM. The frequency of these flights aims to enhance connectivity and facilitate tourism between the two destinations.
