Fire Engulfs Private Bus in Hamirpur on Diwali Evening

Hamirpur, November 13: A tragic incident unfolded at the district bus stand on Diwali evening when a private bus caught fire, turning the entire vehicle into ashes.

The bus, identified as Soni Bus operating on the Hamirpur to Mehre route, had parked at the bus stand after completing its Diwali route. Around 8:30 PM, flames suddenly erupted inside the bus, and within moments, the entire vehicle was engulfed in fire, reduced to ashes.

Local residents, witnessing the smoke, promptly informed the fire department. Despite the quick response from the fire brigade, by the time they arrived, the bus had already been reduced to charred remains. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the bus was parked and unoccupied at the time of the incident.
