Exploring the Realm of Drones: IEEE JUIT Student Branch Hosts ‘MEGA-DRONE’ Workshop

The IEEE JUIT Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE R10 education activities and IEEE Delhi section, organized a week-long workshop on “MEGA-DRONE” from August 24 to August 30, 2023, at Jaypee University of Information Technology’s ECL5 facility. The workshop aimed to explore the world of drones, focusing on their benefits, applications, types, and motions. Dr. Vikas Baghel, coordinator of e-Yantra initiative supported by MHRD at IIT Bombay, served as the resource person.
The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony featuring esteemed speakers including Prof. Ashok Gupta, Prof. Sunil Khah, Prof Shruti Jain, and Dr. Yugal Kumar. The workshop delved into the evolution of drones from simple flying vehicles to complex machines, highlighting their value in modern life. Participants gained insights into drone technology, navigational principles, and autonomous flight, empowering them to understand and harness the potential of drones in various domains. The workshop aimed to inspire participants to explore new applications for drones and contribute to the rapidly advancing field of drone technology.
