Drona 5.0 Kicks Off at HPNLU Shimla with Enthusiasm and Sporting Spirit

Shimla – Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, inaugurated its much-anticipated annual intra sports fest Drona 5.0 today with great enthusiasm and fervour. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, as the Chief Guest.
The opening ceremony commenced with a warm and respectful reception for the Vice-Chancellor, followed by an invigorating address by Dr. Praveen, Chairperson of the Sports Committee in which he highlighted the significance of sports in fostering leadership qualities, discipline, and resilience among students.
The formal inauguration of Drona 5.0 was conducted by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, who, in her inspiring speech, commended the enthusiasm and high spirits of the student athletes. She emphasized the values of true sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, encouraging students to compete with integrity and passion.
Drona 5.0 has drawn participation from over 300 student athletes, competing across a broad spectrum of sporting events, including futsal, badminton, eSports, volleyball, cricket, chess, and several other indoor and outdoor games. The fest is not merely a platform for showcasing athletic prowess but also a celebration of unity, discipline, and camaraderie among the youth.
With a dynamic lineup of matches and activities scheduled over the next few days, Drona 5.0 is poised to be a memorable celebration of youthful energy, competitive spirit, and sporting excellence.
