Total ₹3.89 Lakh Crore Disbursed to Farmers Across India So Far
Shimla, August 3:
BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal informed that over 7.38 lakh farmers in Himachal Pradesh have received more than ₹147 crore under the 20th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi. Nationwide, ₹20,500 crore has been credited to over 9.70 crore farmers’ accounts.
Dr. Bindal expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of Himachal’s farmers, stating that the PM Kisan Nidhi has become a financial lifeline for the state’s hardworking farmers who often face harsh climatic challenges.
He highlighted that since the scheme’s inception in February 2019, over ₹3.89 lakh crore has been transferred directly to farmers’ accounts via DBT, benefiting small and marginal farmers across India. In Sirmaur district alone, over 55,000 farmers have received ₹11 crore in this 20th installment.
