DPS Shimla Hosts Annual Sports Day 2026 for Primary Wing
Shimla, Nov 05 : Delhi Public School (DPS), Panthaghati, celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2026 with enthusiastic participation from students of the Primary Wing.
The programme commenced with a welcome address, followed by a prayer seeking blessings. Students presented a disciplined March Past, showcasing coordination, confidence and team spirit.
A series of sporting competitions, including Throwball, Kho-Kho and Badminton, were organised. Students also participated in fun activities such as Lemon and Spoon Race, Tummy-to-Tummy Relay, Pyramid Game, Fill the Bottle and Run, and Kangaroo Race.
A Taekwondo demonstration highlighted the importance of discipline, balance and self-control. Class-wise races, including Single-Leg, 50-metre Sprint, Frog, Duck and Hopping Races, added to the excitement.
The Tug of War competition between teachers was a major attraction of the event and drew enthusiastic cheers from the gathering.
The celebration provided students with an opportunity to showcase their sporting abilities while promoting participation, perseverance, discipline and teamwork.
