Donation Box Stolen from Tara Devi Temple

Shimla, January 24: A theft was reported at the Hanuman temple near the Kalka-Shimla National Highway in the Tara Devi area. Temple priest Ram Karn Das filed a complaint at the Baluganj Police Station, stating that the donation box had been stolen by an unknown individual.
The theft occurred on the night of January 22 and was discovered the next morning during routine inspection by the priest. Police have registered a case under Sections 331(3) and 305 of the Indian Penal Code.
The theft was captured on the temple’s CCTV cameras. Footage shows an individual entering the temple and taking away the donation box under the cover of darkness. The police have seized the footage and are investigating the incident.
Efforts to identify the accused are underway, including reviewing CCTV footage from nearby shops and homes. Authorities are confident that the suspect will be apprehended soon.
