Disposed Revenue Cases Must Be Updated on RMS Portal: DC

Chamba, October 3: Deputy Commissioner Chamba Mukesh Repaswal has directed all revenue officers to ensure timely disposal of pending revenue cases and update disposed cases on the Revenue Management System (RMS) portal.

Chairing a meeting to review pending revenue matters, the DC said all proceedings related to revenue cases should be recorded online to facilitate effective monitoring and timely disposal.

He said 2,283 pending revenue cases have been resolved in the district so far in 2026, including 670 partition cases, 898 demarcation cases and 715 cases related to revenue records.

Repaswal directed officials to give priority to partition and demarcation cases pending for six months to one year and complete necessary action by the end of October. He also directed that all Jamabandis be updated by October-end and the scanning and digitisation of old revenue documents be completed within the prescribed timeframe.

The meeting also reviewed pending encroachment cases, audit objections, e-District matters and relief cases. The DC stressed transparency, timely disposal and public interest in handling revenue matters.
